Linux ant scripts for deploying SOA Suite 11g code and MDS artifacts

This post provides you with the Linux version of the best ant deployment scripts for SOA Suite 11g. It includes deployment, undeployment, start/stop, as well as importing and exporting of artifacts (e.g., XSDs, WSDLs, etc.) to and from the MDS. It is essentially an advanced and improved wrapper to Oracle's out-of-the-box ant scripts.

Please note that there is a license associated with these scripts (see build.soa.xml).

Installation

1. Unzip the folder to /home/oracle

2. Copy a JAR file to your ORACLE_HOME

cd /home/oracle/deploy/lib
export ORACLE_HOME=/u01/app/oracle
cp ant-contrib-1.0b3.jar $ORACLE_HOME/middleware/modules/org.apache.ant_1.7.1/lib

3. Modify the property files

Edit all property files under /home/oracle/deploy/config/* and update the usernames, passwords, hostnames, URL, database, etc.

In summary, to run the ant command, see setEnv.sh, or do the following:

(1) Log on to Oracle Enterprise Manager Fusion Middleware Control (http://host:7001/em)

(2) Expand "Farm_soa_domain > SOA > [partition]"

(3) Right-click on your composite name

(4) Click on "Export"

(5) Select the "Option 1" radio button

(6) Click on the "Export" button

You can also use ant to export these manually or in bulk.

Hi Ahmed,

Trying to deploy composites but failing during validation, running on linux and doesnt have jdev installed. how does oramds connect connect metadata?

[scac] /../../XX/ABCD.wsdl: error: Error in getting XML input stream: oramds:/apps/AIAMetaData/AIAComponents/../../../XYZ.xsd: oracle.mds.exception.MDSException: MDS-00054: The file to be loaded oramds:/apps/AIAMetaData/AIAComponents/../../../XYZ.xsd does not exist.

Seems here that you're able to connect to the MDS just fine.

The error is indicating that oramds:/apps/AIAMetaData/AIAComponents/../../../XYZ.xsd does not exist in the MDS.

So either make sure you are referencing a valid file that exists in the MDS in the right path, or upload XYZ.xsd in the appropriate location.
