ODI Studio 11.1.1.6 cannot connect to repository created with 11.1.1.5

Problem:

I installed ODI Studio 11g (11.1.1.6). After installation and once I tried to connect to my repository, I received the following error:

ODI-26130: Could not connect to repository

oracle.odi.core.config.MasterRepositoryVersionMismatchException: ODI-10179: Client requires a repository with version 04.03.04.02 but the repository version found is 04.03.03.08.

Solution:

1. Observe the repository version (04.03.03.08 in the figure above).

The client requires a repository version that is higher (04.03.04.02 in the figure above). This is a sign that the ODI client just installed is a higher version than what was created with the RCU.

2. Download and install the previous version of the client.

3. Try again.
