Oracle Magazine: November-December 2012 issue

The November-December 2012 issue of Oracle Magazine is out now.

I've been a subscriber to the magazine for years, and strongly encourage everyone to subscribe to it. And it's gotten a lot better over the years. It's free and has relevant information to all Oracle professionals out there. I'm not saying you'll benefit from every single page of the magazine, but it's a very good resource to keep you updated on what's going on in the Oracle world. You can also subscribe to the digital edition for free.

Also, as I was reading this month's issue on the plane today, I was pleasantly surprised to see my SOA book referenced under the Book Beat section.

Both Arun and myself put a tremendous amount of effort and really dumped everything we know into our book. This is not a rehash of the Oracle documentation. You'll find a wealth of information you won't find anywhere else. We believe that beginner, intermediate, and advanced administrators and developers will benefit from it. I've been tutoring, mentoring, and training customers and colleagues on SOA Suite throughout the years, and can tell you it's a whole lot cheaper to buy the book. :)

We practically don't make any money off of sales. So for me to recommend it is not driven by a financial incentive, but rather my belief of the value of its content. I'm not saying it's perfect, but if you work with Oracle SOA Suite and want to advance your skills and knowledge and want a reference volume to keep on hand, I recommend you get your hands on a copy.

Mark Nelson from the Oracle A-Team writes on his blog: "I am one of the authors of the official Oracle SOA Suite Certification question base, and even I learned things from this book that I did not know."
