“Oracle Social Network enables smarter collaboration by securely and effectively connecting people and business information systems within and across enterprises.”
I attended a hands-on lab on Oracle Social Network (also known as Oracle WebCenter Social) a few days ago at OpenWorld. I’ll admit that it’s a slick application. Though the technology behind the product is impressive, I have serious reservations regarding the usefulness and business value behind such a tool.
Would you like a private version of Facebook for use by your organization? If you are the 1% who answers ‘yes’, then Oracle Social Network might be right for you. For everyone else, stay away. Being a cool tool is not enough to justify deploying and adopting it within your organization.

Glad to know about Oracle Social Network, the main problem is to check profiles availability on various social networking sites, it takes a too long time to check.
My friend suggested me aboutclaimbrand.com, it really helped me checking profiles availability for free on 600 social networks and let me claim the profiles for half the price of Namechk.
