There is no start activity in process (BPEL)

Problem:

I had a BPEL process that consumes a message from a topic. Even though I had a Receive activity, upon compiling, I received the following error:
Error(34): There is no start activity in process "AhmedConsume"

Solution:

1. Double-click on the Receive activity.

2. Check the "Create Instance" checkbox and click on "OK".

Applicable Versions:
  • Oracle SOA Suite 11g (11.1.1.5)
