Slow login process for Oracle Enterprise Manager 11g Fusion Middleware Control

If logging in to a console, any console, takes over 30 seconds, this is considered incredibly long. Unfortunately, on a well spec'ed system with the console already tuned, logging in to the Oracle Enterprise Manager 11g Fusion Middleware Control console takes over 90 seconds!

Imagine if it had not been tuned!

If anyone has any suggestions on how to improve console login times, please do let me know!

Applicable Versions:
  • Oracle SOA Suite 11g (

It might due to the large number of instances in the dehydration store. Pls refer to the following link where soumya explained the scenario. Hope it helps!

Hi Ahmed try these two settings.

1. Disable auto-fetch of aggregated metrics so that each metric is available only on demand.

2. Set default time duration for aggregate queries and dont exceed the duration for more than 24 hours.

These settings can be tuned from the SOA Infrastructure Common properties.

Hope it helps

Thanks guys.

Console performance still sucks though.

I noticed that console performance is okay if there are no more than a few hundred instances. Once it starts growing beyond that, good luck. Though the console has the majority of functionality that an administrator needs, from those who require quick monitoring, it's rather poor.

I hate to create a mini-application that queries on the relevant instance monitoring and performance information. 2 minutes to log on and another 1 minute to navigate to the relevant information is just way too long for any impatient admin like myself. :)

I followed the Doc ID 1423893.1 from Oracle support. It helped very little in the login speed but it definitely helped in speeding up the composite details page.
